Uses

What can be done with slit coil?

Sorry, forgot to mention that. The applications are endless. Wherever metal is needed there is usually an application for slit coil. A few years back when automobiles used metal decorative trim, it was all about metal - people loved the look. Refrigerators use metal trim, in fact aluminum is all the rage now because it has that polished look and is light-weight. Metal is used to build homes in order to protect them from strong winds, hurricanes, and flooding. Builders are choosing to use metal that won't corrode or rust, which is typically an aluminum product. Brass and copper are used in jewelry applications, as well as electrical components due to its conductivity.

Fuel cells are being developed using slit coil metal. Stampers, roll-formers, & tube producers all use coil metal extensively. Here are just a few of the many applications:
  • Fan blades
  • Automobile mufflers
  • Swimming pool fixtures
  • Light fixtures
  • Casket liners
  • Silverware
  • Clad pots & pans
  • Heat shields
  • Window & door components
  • Aircraft parts
  • Architectural trim
  • Car & Truck wheel covers
  • Roof drainage
  • Transportation equipment
  • Food processing equipment
  • Pharmaceutical equipment
  • Hot water tanks
  • Manifolds
  • Refrigeration liners
  • Storm shutters
  • Fuel tanks
  • Boats & furniture equipment
  • License plates
  • Hand tools
  • Metal tags
  • Axles
  • Railway wheels & tracks
  • Cable wire
